Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use PathFi, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• Decision data: The scenarios, parameters, and context you provide when creating simulations. This includes any text, files, or documents you upload.
• Usage data: Information about how you interact with our service, including pages visited, features used, and simulation history.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and similar technical data collected automatically.

Hindsight — connecting a prediction-market account

• What we read: when you run a Hindsight report we import your already-resolved prediction-market trade history. For a pasted Polymarket wallet this is fully-public on-chain data. You can paste a wallet you don’t own; the report is generated from public data either way.
• Your address is not published. A shared report (/h/…) and its social card never contain your raw wallet address — only a salted one-way commitment. The link can’t be casually reversed to your address, though the figures derive from public data and we don’t claim strong anonymity.
• Verifying ownership: connecting a wallet by signature (or an account by credentials) proves you control it, so only you can claim that record as your own. Pasting a wallet alone generates a report from public data but never claims ownership.
• Connected accounts (Polymarket US / Kalshi): when you link an account, your API credentials are encrypted with a dedicated key (AWS KMS) and stored only so we can refresh your report — never logged, never shown again, and never included in a shared report. Disconnecting an account deletes the stored credential. Where the venue offers it, we recommend creating a read-only API key.
• Retention & deletion: Hindsight reports are retained for 90 days by default. Deleting your account erases your reports. A wallet subject can request removal of any shared report attesting their address.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the PathFi service, including running simulations and generating reports.
• To personalize your experience and improve our algorithms.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls, monitoring, and regular security audits.

4. Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following third parties:

• AI providers: We use Amazon Bedrock (Claude) for AI-powered analysis. Your decision inputs are sent to these models for processing. We do not allow these providers to use your data for model training.
• Infrastructure providers: AWS for hosting, Stripe for payment processing.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

6. Cookies

PathFi uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns — you can opt out of these through your browser settings.

Personalization cookie: When you are signed in to the PathFi app, a short-lived cookie (pf_session) is set on the marketing site (pathfi.ai) containing only your first name and display initials. This is used to personalize the navigation (showing your avatar instead of “Get Started”) and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties. You can clear it at any time by signing out of PathFi.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of PathFi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
